    Default weight gainer diet

    Hi,

A basic diet should be consumed which is geared towards the goal of rising body mass. Such a diet will typically contain naturally highly caloric foods, with a high quantity of food consumed throughout the day. This nutritional approach should be followed before any thought of supplementing with a weight gainer, or other supplement product.

I do agree that carbohydrates and protein are crucial for weigh gain and we need to take foods which contain both these . I can say some foods such as Eggs , Fish ,Butter,Mutton are good source of protein which can be taken in natural form . Foods with high carbs are Pasta ,Carrot, Apple, Orange etc .

Ensure that you are consuming a greater portion of your calories from protein and that you are consuming a good diet. Also you will need to get adequate sleep and do moderate to intense exercise aat least thre times a week.

The problem I have is that I can't eat meals every 2 hours because of school and soccer. I can't get enough nutrients either because a lot of the highly nutritious food isn't easy to eat on the go- like salmon, pasta, etc, etc.

You do not need to eat every two hours. Nutrient timing is irrelevant, look at IF (Intermittent Fasting), one or two meals a day (or an eating window). They still bulk and cut with no problem. Just get the calories and macros you need and you will be golden.

I htink that if you want to gain weight, you just have to eat more. You could try a method where you measure your ideal calorie intake from your BMI. Now if you get your ideal calorie intake, try to eat that would double your ideal calorie intake! That would be one of the best way to gain weight. You still have to watch for what you are taking in though. Do not just put everything into your mouth.

Based on my BMI, I'm a little underweight and I really need to go on weight-gainer diet. So what I did was to eat more foods that are rich in calories but contain good nutrients too. I also eat as often as I could and I also eat foods that are rich in protein to help build muscles.

First of all choose dairy products, eggs, fish and meat over bread and vegetables and you need to exercise really hard and intensely to gain muscle mass. Focus on free weight exercises and eat larger portions and eat at least five meals a day.
